This morning I opened a text message from my woman.
I want to share it with you in its entirety:
“Hello my love. I just wanted to let u know how much I love u. How much it means to me to share this life with u. I love having u next to me when I sleep and waking up to u in the morning. Love taking u inside of me and feeling universes collide. We are so blessed. Thank u for supporting me last night. U gave me just what I needed. I love u.”
Fortunately, my woman often sends me text messages that are similar and as meaningful.
*I really don’t think that I did anything out of the ordinary…. What was it that I did last night that gave her exactly what she needed? (not a question I have asked her by the way)
*I don’t feel that I worked hard or extended any extra energy….
*Nor am I slapping myself on the back because I finally did something right!
It’s really simple…really. I use simple tools built on core principles that I have integrated into the framework of who I am and I just “show up.”
Because of this, she opens, surrenders and reveals to me the beauty of that which is the magnificence of woman. I win when this happens (see the text message above!) and the world around us wins as well. When woman is alive and vibrant, it is absolutely contagious. Everybody gets it. You cannot help but feel it.
So, am I just lucky or have I created this?! Both are correct. I am lucky because my woman is so amazing in so many ways beyond what I ever thought was possible and I created this because I use simple tools and a foundation that I built on a bedrock of both an open heart and in knowing who I am as a man
I am just focusing on a positive experience that happened today. Clearly, during my life I have also had the very opposite of a terrific result because of any number of possibilities: I wasn’t present…. I was out of my integrity… I did not create a safe space, etc…
So let’s see what comes up with the following question that all men can answer:
Can you identify the way you “showed up” in any relationship with woman that has yielded either a winning result or a less than winning result? If so, what was that result? What did you create?
